Les « Arts Singuliers » regroupent un ensemble de créateurs, d’artistes très souvent autodidactes, soit en marge de l’art dit « qui officiel », soit qui ont décider de prendre des chemins de traverse pour ceux qui ont fait des études artistiques.
Ce terme désigne donc des artistes qui ne font pas partie de l’art dit académique ou à l’écart des institutions artistiques classiques, qui rejettent l’art contemporain ou conceptuel en vigueur aujourd’hui.
Les dénominations varient, on tourne autour de Neuve Invention, Art Cru, Création Franche, Hors les Normes, en Marge, Outsider Art aux USA, etc…
L’association Maison Marguerites emploie le vocable Arts Singuliers Pluriels, pour traduire la volonté de nous ouvrir à un panel plus large englobant les arts naïfs, populaires, bruts, expressionnistes, etc…
Cet art éclectique, en marge de l’art officiel, notamment conceptuel, est marquant par sa singularité, par la liberté de ses créations, par les sensations provoquées ou ressenties au plus profond de chacun de nous.
Les productions de ces artistes sont multiples : dessins, peintures, sculptures, broderies, céramiques, assemblages, constructions, installations diverses souvent réalisées à peu de frais, ré-employant des objets, utilisant des matériaux pauvres, créant leurs propres couleurs ou pigments. Des créations qui sont l’expression d’une liberté sans bornes. Souvent abimés par la vie, ayant des parcours atypiques, ces artistes nous livrent des œuvres qui sont l’expression même de ce qui les a construits.
Que l’on aime ou non, que l’on soit dérouté par la forme de ces travaux, bouleversé par la violence qui s’en dégage, questionné par ce qu’elle dénonce, attendri par le côté enfantin ou simplement ému par tant de beauté, ce que l’on ressent au fond de nous est l’expression même d’une humanité authentique, spontanée, sans fioritures.
Toutes ces œuvres, le plus souvent hautes en couleur et profondément populaires, tous ces artistes ne parlent que de la vie, de l’humain, de l’amour, de la difficulté d’ÊTRE dans un monde qui se fracasse…

“Singular Arts” bring together a group of creators, artists who are very often self-taught, either on the margins of so-called “official” art, or who have chosen alternative paths—even among those who have had formal artistic training.
This term therefore refers to artists who are not part of academic art or who stand apart from traditional artistic institutions, and who reject the contemporary or conceptual art currently in vogue.
The terminology varies: we find terms such as Neuve Invention, Art Cru, Création Franche, Outsider, Marginal Art, Outsider Art in the United States, etc.
The Maison Marguerites association uses the expression Plural Singular Arts to reflect a desire to open up to a broader spectrum, encompassing naïve art, folk art, raw art, expressionism, and more.
This eclectic art form, existing on the fringes of official—particularly conceptual—art, stands out for its uniqueness, the freedom of its creations, and the deep emotions it provokes or awakens within each of us.
The works produced by these artists are diverse: drawings, paintings, sculptures, embroidery, ceramics, assemblages, constructions, and various installations, often created at low cost by reusing objects, working with humble materials, or even creating their own colors and pigments. These creations are the expression of boundless freedom.
Often marked by life and shaped by atypical paths, these artists offer works that are a direct expression of what has formed them.
Whether we like them or not, whether we are unsettled by their forms, shaken by the violence they may convey, questioned by what they denounce, touched by their childlike simplicity, or simply moved by their beauty—what we feel deep inside is the very expression of an authentic, spontaneous humanity, without embellishment.
All these works, often vibrant and deeply rooted in popular culture, and all these artists, speak only of life, of humanity, of love, and of the difficulty of BEING in a world that is falling apart…

Ouverte du 19 juin au 31 octobre à la Maison du patrimoine de Tusson, l’exposition Arts Singuliers Pluriels met en avant le travail d’artistes peintres, plasticiennes, sculptrices, etc.
Toutes les oeuvres exposées sont en vente au profit des artistes.

Autour de l’exposition et au fil de ces 3 mois, différents rendez-vous ponctueront l’été : vernissage (et finissage), tables rondes, rencontres d’artistes, performances, visite en nocturne, concerts…
